the "school-going" portion of matt's family is on spring break this week (that would be his teacher mom, teacher sister, & college student sister) so we decided to head down to chicago--algonquin to be exact--for an extended visit. matt was here with us for the weekend, and the kids and i will go home tomorrow evening. the weather has been absolutely and unseasonably amazing, though unfortunately i packed for winter! the temps have hit mid to high 70's for the past few days. we have been taking advantage of it by hitting the park pretty much every day.
